The Sleeveless Jacket: Meet Your New Wardrobe Staple

Sleeveless jackets have fast become the go-to top layer for your new season outfit.

That’s right, spring has become the time to free the arms as well as the legs (although perhaps not too much of both at the same time).

A whole host of celebrities have been rocking the trend, including the Kardashian’s most fashion-foreward stylistas Kim and Kylie Jenner – with Kylie hitting Coachella in a full length off-white sleeveless duster coat. And rocking it.

Fashion designer and chic style guru Victoria Beckham has already claimed the sleeveless jacket as a firm favourite of her own, adding it into her own collections and wearing them both off and on duty. The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge has also been working VB’s staple style, rocking the trend as part of her killer maternity wardrobe.

These gorgeous cover-ups can be a lot more versatile than you might think. In classic trench coat styles, the camel offerings can add a timeless, chic feel to any outfit. Layered over a modest trouser suit or a combination of jeans and a smart coloured shirt, you’ll be set to dazzle at any meeting in an instant.

If you’re looking for a more relaxed weekend ensemble, throw one of these pop coloured numbers on over the top of your relaxed trews. Add a simple tee or cami top for a warmer summers day, or perhaps a slogan jumper to really stand out from the crowd.

But it doesn’t stop there – oh no! Jazz up your evening glam with a classy black duster, or perhaps opt for the stand-out Paisley number from Topshop for a real show-stopping look.

The possibilities are endless. But there’s one thing we know for sure – we’ll be stocking up our coat rails this spring.
