New York Fashion Week went out with a bang, and as well as the totally amazing street style we’ve seen gracing the streets of the Big Apple, we’ve also noticed some seriously cool trend ideas on the runway. From cool geometric prints to plunging deep V necklines and elaborate fringing, the New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016 shows are chock-full of fashion trend ideas we’re dying to jump on board with. In fact, we’re such big fans we can hardly wait for them to land on the high street.
Judging by the Christian Siriano, Herve Leger, Ohne Titel and Prabal Gurung New York Fashion Week shows, fringing is set to be seriously big in the fashion world come springtime. Whether it’s a chic dress with fringed layering a la Herve Leger, or a waist-sinching gown complete with floor-length fringes in the style of Herve Leger, your fringing look is a sure-fire statement-maker. And if you’re feeling brave, why not combine fringing with the deep V neckline trend seen at the likes of Altuzarra, Jenny Packham, Jil Stuart, Prabal Gurung and Victoria Beckham.
As for colour, it looks like pink is the way to go with Zac Posen, Monique L’Huillier, Tibi and Diane Von Furstenberg all using a palette of soft rosy pinks within their Spring Summer 2016 collections. Of course, the print trend is never far behind, and it looks like tie-dye and geometrics are ones to watch next season. Desigual, Herve Leger and Lacoste fly the geometric flag, while Altuzarra, BCBG by Max Azria and Nicholas K collections champion tie-dye through lightweight jackets, dresses and shirts.
So, incase you’ve lost track of what’s hot and what’s not at New York Fashion Week, we’ve collated all the best catwalk trends for you to enjoy (and lust over). Take note, ladies.
