We’re sending HUGE congratulations to Zoella right now.
The 25-year-old vlogger has had some amazing news to celebrate this week – her YouTube channel now has a whopping 10 million subscribers! Pretty damn impressive, no?
To put this into context, Zoella – real name Zoe Sugg – is only the fourth British star to do this, following One Direction, YouTuber KSI and Adele.
Zoe was clearly incredbly excited by her achievements, Tweeting her fans: ‘WE DID IT! THERE IS NOW 10 MILLION OF US. I’m so emotional. I want you all to know this means the world to me.
‘Thank you for all your lovely messages, i am a big ball of smiles and gratitude right now.’
Her boyfriend Alfie Deyes – otherwise known as Pointless Blog – was just as thrilled, marking the occasion by dedicating one of his videos to his other half.
The adorable 13-minute long clip saw the couple nervously checking a follower tracker, before celebrating the fact that she’d hit the 10m mark the next morning.
They filmed themselves cheering while en route to Dublin, where Zoe was due to meet a few members of her ginormous fanbase at a book signing.
In the vid, Zoe could be seen telling fans that she felt ‘all emosh’ and that her eyes were watering with happiness. Aw.
So why have Zoella’s videos become so popular?
Like many others, they focus on beauty, fashion and collaborations with other YouTubers. However, she also addresses personal issues such as anxiety and panic attacks.
With her channel first going live in 2009, she’s had almost seven years to build up her reputation as a funny and relatable figure.
Most importantly, despite the fact that she’s become a best-selling author and make-up entrepreneur, she’s still working hard to draw people in where she started.
Here’s to the next 10 million, eh Zoe?!
