The X Factor 2012 winner James Arthur is having an incredible week. Not only did he beat Jahmene Douglas and Christopher Maloney to be crowned The X Factor champion, and land his own record deal – but he’s on track to sell more copies of his debut single Impossible than any other X factor winner – ever. Wowsers!
The 24-year-old’s single was available to download from Sunday, and by midnight last night it had already sold a whopping 187,000 copies, reports The Sun.
Last year’s winners Little Mix only sold 69,000 in the same amount of time.
The 2005 winner Shayne Ward currently holds the record, with his total first week sales topping 742,000.
James’ CD is released tomorrow, meaning his sales are set to soar even higher. Can he top Shayne’s record? Watch this space…
