If you’re not familiar with Billy on the Street, head to YouTube immediately. It’s an online gameshow hosted by comedian Billy Eichner (you may have seen him most recently on Parks and Recreation) which involves him accosting strangers on the streets of New York and asking them some pretty random questions. Trust us, you’ll love it.
In celebration of this wonderful, festive time of year, Billy called on Will Ferrell to help him determine which Christmas film is the best. Naturally, Elf was one of the options, along with the classic Scrooged starring Bill Murray. The duo embark on a suitably hilarious round of “For A Dollar” offering members of the public one dollar for every question they get right.
The pair don their best Christmas onesies as they run around, prompting some hilarious and terrified reactions from the people they approach. They even give out gifts, including a bale of hay “from the manger.” There are baubles decorated with Leonardo DiCaprio’s face, for heaven’s sake.

From the man who tries to side-step away to the poor woman who can’t remember Will Ferrell’s name, you’ll probably want to have this video on loop all day to keep your spirits up. It is also a pressing question: Elf or Scrooged? Or even, as one lady suggests: Bad Santa? We’d say that one was a guilty pleasure, but actually we feel no sense of guilt about it whatsoever.
Will Ferrell has actually been on the show before, along with a whole host of celebrities including Lena Dunham, Tina Fey and Chris Pratt. Other games played include ‘Quizzed In The Face’ and ‘Amateur Speed Sketching’ which are both as great as they sound.
If your Monday is proving to be a little bit slow, it’s probably a good idea to check out some of those videos on YouTube. Let’s face it, you’re not doing any work anyway. It’s Christmas!
