According to the statement, the money will be donated to charity.
30/5/16: Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s divorce has reached complicated new heights after Amber accused the A-list actor of domestic abuse.
The 30-year-old actress submitted a photo showing a visible bruise on her right eye, alleging that Depp threw an iPhone at her face last Saturday, and also ‘grabbed [her] by the hair and violently shove [her] to the floor’ a month before, according to People.
The Los Angeles Superior Court Judge has now issued a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Johnny after Amber claimed he had been violent multiple times during their 15-month marriage.
The claim rocked Johnny Depp fans in a big way over the weekend, however, ex-wife Vanessa Paradis has now spoken out, calling the allegations ‘outrageous’.
‘In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years,’ Paradis wrote in a letter obtained by TMZ.
‘He is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe with all my heart, that these recent allegations being made are outrageous.’
Vanessa dated Johnny from 1998 to 2012, and they share two children together, Jack and Lily Rose – Lily has also spoken out in defence of her father.
Posting a photo of her and Johnny on Instagram, model Lily wrote: ‘My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same.’
In court documents obtained by The Independent, Heard wrote: ‘I live in fear that Johnny will return to the residence unannounced to terrorise me, physically and emotionally.’
Comedian and close friend of the family, Doug Stanhope, has also written a piece for The Wrap which claims Amber was ‘manipulating’ and is trying to blackmail Johnny.
Writing that Depp told him that ‘Amber was going to leave him, threatening to lie about him publicly in any and every duplicitous way if he didn’t agree to her terms.’
‘Blackmail is what I would imagine other people might put it, including the manner in which he is now being vilified’, he added.
Doug added that he and his girlfriend Bingo were worried about the couple even before they got married.
‘We’d watched it build like this before they were married,’ Stanhope wrote. ‘We’d watched her manipulate and f**k with him for years.’
The court case is ongoing.
