Have you noticed that you haven’t seen Tulisa Contostavlos about for a while?
Well, the former X Factor star has opened up about why she’s hidden away from the public eye a little bit, and we can’t help but feel a little sad for her.
The 27-year-old first found fame with N-Dubz, and soon became a star in her own right, taking a spot on the judging panel for the ITV talent show.
But she’s now revealed that she feels happier when she’s living in her own ‘bubble’.
Opening up to Sophie Ellis-Bextor for her W documentary ON Fame, she explains, ‘The more I put myself out there the more I am on a platform to be judged. Right now I figure the less I say the less gip I get. I like creating a bubble where I am not being Tulisa and I retreat and this is my real life.’
Tulisa has a huge following on social media, with over 3.6 million fans on Twitter and over 300,000 on Instagram.
In the candid interview, Tulisa reflected on the level of internet abuse she received from Twitter trolls, particularly when she was appearing as an X Factor judge.
She said, ‘When you put yourself out there people feel like they can judge you. I have had some ridiculous abusive comments.
‘When I was doing The X Factor I could get 500 abusive tweets a day – that is negative for anyone’.
