Louis Smith rocked up to the TRIC TV and Radio Awards last night with the rest of the Strictly Come Dancing gang, where he accepted the award for Best TV Reality Programme. The London 2012 Olympian has had a busy few months touring schools and setting up a gymnastics summer camp, and he’s even found the time to pen a book.
He told us: “Everyone saw me in the sporting world doing normal interviews and got a little taste of my cheeky side on Strictly but I don’t really come out on TV shows and show my other side.
“[The book] will be about who I am, my thoughts, gym, my childhood, holidays, partying. There are lots of pictures in it. There will be a few fun stories, not outrageous ones. If I do make it really big one day and I do write an autobiography I want to save all my big stuff for that.”
And if that wasn’t enough excitement for you, he also hinted about doing more TV work. When we asked him about future projects, he said: “Well, I can’t say too much, anything but… it’s exciting times.” Yay! LO & GC
