Something very exciting is happening with the This Morning presenters this year. And we couldn’t be happier for the new additions to the hosting panel.
As TM fans will know, currently, we have Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield presenting the show Monday to Thursday. And on Fridays, it’s all about Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
But it’s all about to change – because Eamonn and Ruth are being replaced by the first EVER gay couple to present the show, in the form of Rylan Clark-Neal and husband Dan.
Rylan already presents the showbiz section of the show, and filled in for Phil the other week when he couldn’t make it in. Clearly, he did a superb job, as now the show wants him to host, officially.
Yep, the 27-year-old former X Factor star will be hitting that TM sofa with his hubby when Eamonn and Ruth are on holiday next Friday.
‘Rylan is hugely popular with the This Morning audience and working with Dan again will provide key chemistry a show like this requires with its hosts’, a source told The Mirror.
It won’t actually be the first time the couple have appeared on the show together – they impressed viewers when they both interviewed Christopher Cramp, the first man to have a Civil Partnership, back in December,
At the time, Rylan said: ‘It was weird. We felt like Ruth and Eamonn. It was really strange. Obviously, me and Dan do a lot of work together away from TV on the development side, so we are used to doing stuff like that.’
The pair got married last November in Essex, after dating for two years. Congrats, guys! We can’t wait to see you two in action…
