And they've just gone public on social media...
This years X Factor has definitely delivered on the drama front. Thanks to some fiery contestants and that brutal Six Chair Challenge, we’ve seen more tears than ever before and the live finals haven’t even started yet…
But now the popular TV talent show has gone one step further by giving us it’s very own love story, as hopefuls Ryan Lawrie and Emily Middlemas have revealed that they are now an item.
After meeting during the auditions, the pair have been teasing fans with plenty of cute selfies. And after a lot of online speculation, the singers have finally confirmed the rumours in the most adorable way ever.
Ryan took to Twitter to call Emily his ‘girlfriend’, wishing her good luck ahead of her performance this weekend as she battled for a place at judges houses.
Following an incredible performance, viewers watched Emily successfully secure a seat from mentor Simon Cowell, and Ryan couldn’t wait to congratulate his lady, writing on Twitter: ‘I am the proudest boyfriend in the world right now @emilymiddlemas_ I am such a lucky guy. You were incredible.’
And it looks like the pair are getting pretty serious as the loved up lad later dropped the ‘L’ bomb. Oo-err.
He said: ‘Happy birthday to the most important person in my life. @emilymiddlemas_ you are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I love you.’
Emily, 18, then responded: ‘I have the best boyfriend in the world. I am so lucky. Thank you for everything. I love my new beautiful necklace too. My boy. I love you.’
Seriously guys, you need to stop with the cuteness.
And fans of the ITV show obviously couldn’t contain their excitement for the new couple, as one follower wrote: ‘@RyanLawrie_@emilymiddlemas_ you’re both amazing, power couple like.’
Another fan simply wrote: ‘goals’.
Emily wowed the live audience with her amazing take on Cindy Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, but Ryan didn’t make it through as part of the boyband.
Although he originally auditioned as a solo artist, Simon put Ryan through as part of a newly formed group, but soon realised he’d made a mistake when the singer impressed with his flawless vocals.
After failing to get through the Six Chair Challenge, Ryan was later selected as the ‘wildcard’ for the Nicole Scherzinger’s category.
The news was announced on the ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor, and Ryan admitted: ‘It was totally unexpected and I was absolutely buzzing to get a call from Simon.
‘I’m really excited for it and with all the feelings and emotions running through me it just doesn’t feel real at all.
‘I want to show Nicole why Simon brought me back.’
Good luck guys, we’re sure both of you will totally smash it.
