Tom Hiddleston took to the red carpet at Comic-Con to promote his new movie Kong: Skull Island, but he didn't take his lady Taylor Swift along for the ride...
Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have been pretty inseparable, right?
Ever since they went public with their relationship, we’ve seen the smitten couple globetrotting, meeting the parents and showcasing hella PDA.
So when Tom found himself on the Comic-Con carpet, some people questioned why he’d gone it alone.
The Sun is reporting that, whilst Hiddleston would have liked to bring his other half along to San Diego, the big bosses ‘banned’ her out of fear that a ‘circus’ might ensue.
Well, they are one of the most high-profile new couples around right now.
And it’s fair to say that there’s been a lot of extra attention on Taylor Swift lately, what with the ongoing feud between herself and Kim Kardashian West.
Despite going solo, Tom did still get quizzed on his blossoming romance with Swifty.
When asked if he was annoyed about the extra interest in his personal life, he told PEOPLE: ‘I don’t know, it comes down to being authentic.
‘Everything you do you have to make sure you truly believe in it and as long as you know that, it doesn’t matter what anyone else says about it.’
He continued, ‘The nature of being a public figure is that everyone will have an opinion about anything you do, and as long as you know why you’ve done something and you’ve committed to it with authenticity then you’re okay.’
There’s been no official reason given for Taylor’s absence, but perhaps he just wanted to concentrate on his work – he was there to promote his latest movie, after all.
And they don’t need to go everywhere together, guys.
Sure enough, Tom posed happily for the cameras alongside his co-star Brie Larson, and they were keen to answer questions about their upcoming flick.
Good job, Tom.
