Strictly Come Dancing is back and the celebrity contestants who’ll be joining their professional partners on the dance floor have FINALLY been revealed!
Model and football WAG Abbey Clancy is just one of the big names that we’ll soon be seeing twirling around the ballroom, along with Murder On The Dance Floor-singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Hollyoakes hunk Ashley Taylor Dawson (*swoon*).
Fashion designer Julian Macdonald will also be donning sequins for the show, telling the BBC: “I like the fact I can have the sparkles and the crystals, and the glamour that I’ve spent my life putting on other people”.
Other contestants include BBC Breakfast‘s Susanna Reid, Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meaden, Countdown‘s Rachel Riley, rugby star Ben Cohen and Vanessa Feltz. Add to that Hairy Biker Dave Myers, former Casualty actor Patrick Robinson, Waterloo Road star Mark Benton and former Coronation Street actress Natalie Gumede and you’ve got enough stars to start your own red-carpet event!
Of course no celebrity reality TV show would be complete without those stars who no-one really recognises, so this year say hello to golfer Tony Jacklin and Bond girl Fiona Fullerton who complete the 15-strong Strictly line-up.
This year hosts Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly will be joined by 5 new professional dancers (here’s hoping for some hunks!), and with all the usual dancing judges expected to return we predict lots of drama, romance and possibly even a fight or two. We can’t wait!
Strictly Come Dancing 2013 starts Saturday 7th September on BBC1.
