Prepare to have your hearts broken… Victoria Beckham has confirmed she WON’T be taking part in a Spice Girls reunion. *Sob*.
Last month, the 41-year-old’s bandmate Mel B hinted that the group may be getting back together – and (as expected) every 90s kid went a teeny bit insane.
Speaking to Metro, Mel said: ‘I think it’s our 20th year next year so we’re going to be doing something at some point with hopefully all of us.’
How amazing would that be?! Scary, Posh, Sporty, Ginger and Baby back together again for the first time since the London Olympics’ Closing Ceremony in 2012.
But unfortunately, it seems it’s not to be.
A spokesperson for Victoria told TMZ yesterday that she ‘has been very respectful about the fabulous time they had together in the past, however her focus is now very much her family and fashion business.’ Booo :(.
Victoria juggles being mum to sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and four-year-old daughter Harper with running her eponymous fashion line, so she does have her work cut out.
And of course, the Spice Girls could still reunite without her. Although it wouldn’t be quite be the same.
The band – also consisting of Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell – released their debut single Wannabe in 1996.
This was followed by their debut album Spice later that year, which introduced us to hit tunes such as Say You’ll Be There, 2 Become 1 and Who Do You Think You Are.
Yep. It really HAS been 20 years since all that happened…
Are you feeling old yet? Because we certainly are.
