The former Made In Chelsea star was quizzed about his brother's private life, and he didn't seem too happy...
Spencer Matthews was a guest on This Morning today, taking to the famous sofa to discuss his charity work.
The former reality TV star has taken on a humanitarian role of late, working for the Michael Matthews Foundation – which was founded in his late brother’s memory – helping children gain access to education from remote areas across the world.
The 27-year-old recently went on a trip to Tanzania in order to help a group of orphaned children whilst their school was being rebuilt. It seems as though Spencer has been taking his newfound charity role incredibly seriously, opening up about the bonds he has formed with the amazing children he has worked with.
But the interview soon took a slightly awkward turn when presenter Phillip Schofield jumped at the opportunity to quiz him about his brother’s relationship with the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, Pippa Middleton.
Schofe asked whether James Matthews had climbed the Matterhorn mountain. Seems like a perfectly innocent question, but Spencer smiled nervously as Phillip continued, ‘You know where I’m going with this.’
Spence did his best to try and avoid the question, but the ITV host pushed, ‘When James climbed the Matterhorn, did he take Pippa up the Matterhorn?’
The former Made In Chelsea star, after saying that his brother liked to keep his private life private, finally agreed, ‘I believe he must have done.’
He brought it back on-topic, adding, ‘I suppose we all support the foundation in the same way.’
Great save, Spence. And great work, too.
