Niall Horan could have cemented his place as the most popular member of One Direction (it’s impossible to choose, we know), as he lands an incredible honour.
The Irish heartthrob has apparently said a big fat ‘yes’ to the idea of having a museum in his honour, built in his hometown of Mullingar, County Westmeath.
Local councilor Aidan Davitt confirmed the exciting news, telling The Sun: ‘Of course we want to honour one of our leading lights. Niall is always promoting Mullingar around the world and has said it’s something he would support, as did his mother Maura.
‘Fans come here every day looking for Niall’s house – they also go to Tesco looking for his dad Bobby – so it would be great to have somewhere for them to go.’
Rumour has it the museum could open as soon as summer 2014, with memorabilia focusing on the 19-year-old’s life, as well as other musicians from the area. But meh. Niall!
