Woah... Simon has claimed that Chery's ex-husband Jean-Bernard would make aggressive gestures at him.
When it comes to The X Factor, it’s often hard to not find yourself getting a teeny tiny bit carried away…
We’ve lost friends over Jedward and made enemies over Wagner- and that’s just the nature of the competition.
So it’s no surprise that The X Factor judges *also* find themselves caught up in the drama of it all, as confirmed in a recent shocking statement from head judge Simon Cowell.
After the accusations from Cheryl’s ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, who had reportedly claimed that The X Factor was a major factor in the breakdown of his marriage, Simon has shared his opinion of the situation- and it’s pretty crazy…
Recent reports had alluded to Jean-Bernard blaming Simon for his divorce, with a source telling The Sun: ‘JB’s convinced Simon and the X Factor played a big role in the end of his marriage’.
Speculation over these claims continued as it was reported that Simon had told Cheryl to ‘leave her screaming husband at home’. Yep, it was all pretty dramatic…
However, the 56-year-old music mogul has taken to the press to insist he had no part to play in the divorce- instead claiming that Jean-Bernard’s behaviour was ‘out of order’. *Gulp*.
Speaking to The Mirror, Simon shares: ‘There was one night where his behaviour was out of order. Cheryl had an act in the bottom two or something. He was up on his feet, he was screaming, he put his hand across his neck at me’.
Yep, that happened.
Simon continues, ‘I went, “Hang on a minute, this is a competition it is not my fault”. I just said afterwards to Cheryl it might be better if he doesn’t come down and watches it at home on TV and jump on as many sofas as he wants.’
Yikes- it all sounds very heated.
But hey, at least Si seems to be on better terms with Cheryl’s current partner Liam Payne, being the record-label manager of 1D and all that…
