So we all know that Selena Gomez is pretty amazing with her fans.
The 23-year-old is currently travelling the world on her Revival tour, where she’s been making the most of the opportunity to hang out with the crowd.
After each show, Selena heads outside to take a group selfie with members of the audience waiting behind a barricade. So far, she’s done it in cities including Sacramento, Vancouver, Seattle and Edmonton.
But upsettingly for Selena worshippers, there’s a chance that she may have to stop this routine.
Now, don’t get us wrong, this isn’t Sel’s fault. Instead, it’s all about safety – both hers and the fans’.
When posting a snap of herself with gig-goers in Calgary, Canada earlier this week, she was forced to write a caption pleading with people to stay calm.
She wrote: ‘Meeting you guys after my shows has been such a highlight.. but because your safety is priority and most important if we can’t keep them contained I’ll have to stop.
‘I’ll do it for as long as I can, but you matter most. Love you guys. Can’t wait to see you Saskatoon.’
Some followers then shared their own experiences from behind the barrier, with one writing: ‘Nothing but disrespectful pushing at Saskatoon. Disappointed.
‘Didnt get to get my daughter near you. Some girl got trampled. People, why so crazy?! Give everyone a chance! [sic].’
Others seemed a little worried about Selena, with comments including: ‘I love you, stay safe sweetheart,’ and: ‘This is true tbh people are going crazy and can’t keep calm.’
The news comes days after Selena’s ex Justin Bieber banned all of his Beliebers from taking pictures with him.
The 22-year-old announced his decision on Instagram, writing: ‘If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not donna take a picture I’m done taking pictures.
‘It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognise me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity.’
Let’s hope Selena doesn’t have to take similar action.
