Scarlett Moffatt and Larry Lamb have sparked up an unlikely, but adorable, friendship on I'm A Celebrity...
Last night was the much anticipated launch of 2016’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The 16th series kicked off with the routine introduction of the celebrities competing for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle.
We saw ex pro footballer Wayne Bridge, professional dancer Ola Jordan, stand up comedian Joel Dommett, Olympic gold medallist Sam Queck, actor Larry Lamb, model Lisa Snowden, mathematician Carol Vorderman, Goggleboxer Scarlett Mottaff, actor Adam Thomas and dancer Jordan Banjo introduced as this year’s star studded line up.
While we’ve quickly warmed to a good few of the contestants (Joel Dommett we’re looking at YOU), two in particular have won over the nation already.
Yup, Gogglebox star Scarlett Mottaff and Gavin and Stacey actor Larry Lamb have been the centre of attention since the episode aired.
The pair were seen in action during a canoe challenge, where they both had to paddle across the lake to reach a pontoon and on their way collect a flag which they had to successfully plant.
Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong. It wasn’t long until both the contestants’ canoes started filling with water, causing them to sink. We mean, this was all part and parcel of the task, but it didn’t make it any less funny.
Larry managed to swim his way across, whilst poor Scarlett was unable to make it across the lake.
Sweetheart Larry was determined not to leave his team-mate behind and promptly swum back across the lake to ‘save’ Scarlett and get her to safety – awww.
We must say, it was a pretty heroic act and warmed each and every one of our hearts.
Scarlett’s boyfriend Luke Crodden has broken his silence on the scene. And it’s comedy gold.
Crodden took to Instagram to confess his ‘concerns’, posting a snap of him wearing a ‘Vote Scarlett’ t-shirt captioned, “Here’s hoping she doesn’t leave me for LARRY!! Haha”.
Nice to see they share each other’s sence of humour, eh?
We’re kind of living for the LOLs of a Scarlett/Larry/Luke ‘love triangle’, and we can’t wait to see what else the hilarious pair get up to in tonight’s episode of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
