Robert Pattinson is itching to get back to work, he revealed while promoting Cosmopolis. After avoiding countless questions about his state of mind following Kristen Stewart‘s affair, Rob took the conversation back to work, saying the next project he’ll take on is The Rover.
He told The Playlist: “I wish it was shooting this fall. I was supposed to be doing a movie this fall but that was pushed to after The Rover, which is a good thing because it needs a ton of work. But I really wish I could move The Rover up. I’ve got to find something else to do.”
Rob then went on to discuss his own interpretation of the film, which sounded pretty personal, and said director David Michôd would probably disagree with his take on it:
“It’s a kind of a western. It’s very existential. It’s really interesting. I couldn’t really explain to you what it’s about but it’s sort of about how much pain can the world take and how much disgust and cruelty before love dies. I think that’s kind of what it’s about… David Michôd’s going to read this and be like ‘What the f**k are you talking about? It’s a crime movie…'”
Love dies? Eek, that sounds a little too topical! BS
