Rita Ora is planning on going back to university. The singer, who performed an incredible set on last night’s X Factor in a cut-out black jumpsuit, has revealed that she dropped her degree plans when she was offered a record deal at the age of 18.
She told Lorraine today: “I got my first production credit when I was 14 and then it kind of escalated from there. I got signed at 18 so it came to the point where I could either finish university, or I could carry on and finish university later, which I promised my dad I would do, so I will do it.”
Rita went back to her roots for the video of her new single, Shine Ya Light, taking a production crew to her birthplace of Kosovo.
She said: “It was definitely the experience of my life, because I was born there, and it’s a third world country and I wanted to show the world where I come from. It was my idea to do the video.”
Amazing. She might just be our new girl crush… RM
