Three-year-old Prince George decided to embarrass his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, by rejecting Justin Trudeau's warm greeting as the family touched down in Canada...
Prince George is known for being a little bit of a troublemaker. But he really outdid himself when he played up in front of the Canadian Prime Minister yesterday.
Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George and his little sister, Charlotte, touched down in Canada for their week-long tour of British Columbia.
Looking perfectly colour-coordinated with her family, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, looked gorgeous in a navy Jenny Packham dress and matching a Lock & Co hat, with the Queen’s Diamond Maple Leaf brooch pinned to her dress to top it off.
William looked dapper in a suit and tie, whilst little Charlotte looked cute as a button in a baby blue dress and matching hair bow. And as for George? The three-year-old opted for a blue pullover, shorts and smart pulled-up socks. Naww.
Once the royal family had reached the tarmac, it was time to meet the VIPs, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was first on the list to greet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
However, when he bent down to offer George a high-five (so down with the kids), the little Prince was having none of it, and simply shook his head by way of rejecting the PM’s greeting.
To make matters even more awkward, Justin then tried a high-five, and a handshake, both of which were also rebuffed by George.
An embarrassed Kate was then seen crouching down to talk to her son, who was clearly not in the mood for any kind of princely behaviour.
It’s not the first time George has firmly done his own thing whilst meeting heads of state – who could forget the time he shook hands with US president Barack Obama back in April… Wearing his pyjamas.
Obama later joked that the prince’s casual dress code was ‘a slap in the face’ and a clear breach of protocol.
LOL. You just keep doing you, George.
