Kate Middleton is due to give birth to her and Prince William‘s first royal baby any day now, and sister Pippa is reportedly first in line to help The Duchess of Cambridge shift those post-pregnancy pounds with a special post-baby fitness regime.
28-year-old Pippa, who will also be present at Kate’s birth at St. Mary’s hospital in London, is said to have bought her pregnant sister a baby ‘girdle’ to keep her stomach tight following her birth this month. According to MailOnline, Pippa will be on hand to care for Kate’s post-baby health – and figure – and thinks the girdle is the way to go. Well, it worked for Jessica Alba…
“It was brutal; it’s not for everyone,” the actress famously told digital magazine The Edit in April following her two pregnancies. “I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it. It’s spandex with Velcro.” Eesh. That does not sound like our idea of fun…
While, like us, you may be wondering – WHAT pregnancy pounds?!- when it comes to the super-slender Kate, the news comes after the mum-to-be was revealed to have been craving Indian takeaways over the past few weeks, favouring hot vegetable curries from a local village shop near her parents’ home in Berkshire.
The Duchess was said to have been visiting the shop to buy bags of Haribo sweets (another pre-birth craving), when she clocked what was cooking upstairs. “My wife was cooking”, store owner Chan Shingadia said. “Kate said it smelled lovely. She said she had a craving so I made her a big batch to take away with rice and flatbreads.”
Since then, Kate’s reportedly been a regular. “She last popped in a couple of weeks ago”, added Mrs Shingadia.
Well, what are a few garlic naans when you’ve got a girdle to sort you out, eh girls?
