Shout Out To My Ex appears to throw some *major* shade at Perrie Edwards' former fiancé...
Oosh. Is it just us, or is Perrie Edwards going in on Zayn Malik in Little Mix’s new single?
The 23-year-old and her bandmates announced the release of Shout Out To My Ex yesterday – and the lyrics certainly sound pretty meaningful.
In one line, Pezza belts out: ‘Heard he in love with some other chick, yeah yeah that hurt me I’ll admit, forget that boy I’m over it.
‘I hope she gettin’ better sex, Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe.’
Eeeep. Could that be some major shade for Zayn’s new girlfriend Gigi Hadid? If so, it’s not exactly subtle.
In another part, she sings: ‘Took four long years to call it quit, forget that boy I’m over it.
‘Guess I should say thank you, for the “hate yous” and the tattoos. Oh baby I’m cool by the way, ain’t sure I loved you anyway.’
The tattoos part does make sense, seeing as Zayn had Perrie’s face etched onto his arm during their time together. Not only that, but the timing also works.
Perrie and Zayn, 23, first got together in 2011, and confirmed that they’d ended things last summer.
TBH, this song has come at the perfect moment for Pezza. Proving she’s well and truly over Zayn, she was snapped smooching Our Girl actor Luke Pasqualino at the weekend.
Rumours about the pair have been swirling for a while now, but this is the first time they’ve been seen getting close in public.
They were celebrating Perrie’s bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s 25th birthday, meaning 26-year-old Luke’s already getting in with her pals. Ooh.
Let’s hope things don’t end up the same way they have with Zayn, eh?
