The Little Mix singer has opened up a very important conversation on Twitter...
If you had to pick a famous lady to be your BFF, Perrie Edwards would totally be up in the top five, right? Right.
And so, we’re pretty moved by the Little Mix singer’s latest social media move, in which she opened up a conversation about bullying.
Perrie took to Twitter this week to speak about 13 Reasons Why, a new Netflix series anchored around the topic of school bullying.
The 23-year-old thinks the show makes a very serious point, and has urged teens give it a watch.
She Tweeted: ‘I just watched the new Netflix series ’13 reasons why’ and it was one of the hardest things to watch. The way they got the message across was amazing, and although I found it upsetting and massively disturbing, I feel like every person going to school/high school should watch it.
‘Bullying is a disgusting thing that young people have to go through on a regular basis.’
Telling Mixers to look out for each other, she added the moving statement: ‘We can stop bullying if we stick together and show love and support to one another.’
Many have since reached out to Perrie with messages of praise for her statement.
One Tweeter wrote: ‘It really was the hardest thing to watch. everyone in school should watch it & it would make them realize what they do and say [sic].’
Another said: ‘I love you more for mentioning this…so many people are going through bullying and are scared to speak up.’
We think it’s brilliant that Perrie’s sparked a public conversation on such an important topic. You go, lady.
