Millie Mackintosh: ‘She’s Enjoying Life Again’

Going through a break-up is never easy. In fact, it’s one of the most painful experiences someone can go through – but Millie Mackintosh is doing it like a pro.
Having announced her ‘amicable’ split from her husband of three years Professor Green – AKA Stephen Manderson – on 21 February, the former Made In Chelsea star turned fashion designer turned fitstagrammer has been showing us all how it’s done: visiting mates across the world and flitting between hotter climates, looking amazing, of course.

Then there’s the flirtathon with the ex. Millie was seen partying (and more) with her ex-boyfriend and former MIC co-star Hugo Taylor, 29, at British Polo Day in Dubai over the Easter weekend – with the pair ‘all over each other’ in the VIP area of the Shangri-La Hotel, according to fellow partygoers.
And it didn’t end there. The next morning, Millie was seen aboard a luxury yacht with Hugo and was snapped sitting on the knee of his business partner Nicholas Dellaportas. Millie was definitely partying away the pain of recent months, according to our sources.

‘Having a few drinks and snogging guys is just [Millie’s] way of having some much-needed fun,’ our insider reveals. ‘It’s a reminder that she’s still young, gorgeous and she’s got lots going for her.’ Too true. Remember, Hugo and Millie dated for a year back in 2012 (yes, it was that long ago) before she chucked a drink in his face on MIC after finding out he’d hooked up with her BFF Rosie Fortescue. Hugo left the show the following year.

> Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green in happier times

‘Millie doesn’t feel like a married woman any more,’ says our source. ‘She hasn’t for a long time and she’s very keen on the idea of having a few harmless rebound flings just to help her move on with her life.’

While several papers have claimed her actions are about provoking her ex-husband into a reconciliation, that’s definitely not the case, with her friends telling us: ‘It’s not about finding a new man, or hurting Stephen – it’s about enjoying life again. Her partying might seem inappropriate to some but it’s just her way of healing a broken heart.’
‘I can’t believe they’re back together,’ adds another friend, ‘But Millie and Hugo ARE dating – it’s official. She is really happy.’
Well, we reckon Millie deserves a little fun – and in fact we could all take some inspiration from her break over…
