Michelle Keegan may have lost out on an National Television Award last night, but at least she scooped the title of soap land’s biggest red carpet stunner at the celebrity-packed event.
The 26-year-old Coronation Street actress, who plays feisty Tina McIntyre in the ITV1 soap, was pipped to the post by her Corrie co-star Julie Hesmondhalgh to win the coveted Best Serial Drama Performance prize.
But the Stockport-born beauty didn’t seem to mind too much as she dazzled the crowds on the National Television Awards red carpet at London’s O2 arena wearing one seriously striking mint green Philip Armstrong gown.
With handsome fiancé Mark Wright on her arm, Michelle looked like a total knockout in her form-fitting fishtail frock which she accessorised with vintage gold drop earrings and a huge mane of tumbling brunette curls.
And it’s not likely Michelle went home empty-handed, either – Coronation Street later bagged the Best Soap award for the third year running. Congrats, guys!
Newlyweds-to-be Michelle and Mark also opened up about their wedding plans on the NTA red carpet, with Mark spilling that they’re nearly there with their pre-nuptials prep…
‘We’ve got a rough date, we haven’t totally found a venue but we’re nearly there. We’re working on it’, he told Mail Online.
Bride-to-be Michelle added: ‘Up until now I’ve been really chilled out about things, so hopefully I’m going to stay like that!’
