The 29-year-old received plenty of support from friends and family during her first episode as Corporal Georgie Lane last night...
We think Michelle Keegan should be feeling very proud of herself right now.
The second series of BBC1 Army drama Our Girl began last night, with Mich taking over the lead role from EastEnders‘ Lacey Turner.
The 29-year-old plays medic Georgie Lane, who embarks on a humanitarian mission to Kenya after being left at the altar by fiancé Elvis Harte (Luke Pasqualino).
It was a dramatic opener – and ended on a huge cliffhanger. But in case you haven’t caught up yet, we won’t give anything away.
Of course, Michelle was one of those tuning in. She shared a snap of herself before the programme aired, Tweeting: ’10mins to goooo!! @BBCOne #ourgirl ??❤️ Hope you all enjoy! xxx.’
She was cosied up on the sofa with a group of gal pals, including her cousin Katie Fearnehough and sister-in-law Natalya Wright.
We’re not sure where hubby Mark was, but he was just as dedicated to drumming up support on Twitter.
He’d written: ‘Just over 15 mins to go !! Our girl 9pm BBC Seen it and you’re gonna LOVE IT !! @michkeegan,’ before adding at 9pm: ‘BBC NOW.’
But there were two people who may have missed out on tuning in with Mich and crew – Mark’s mum Carol and older sister Jess.
They’d both headed to the Everyday Heroes Awards in London, where they stunned in co-ordinated monochrome pieces from Jess’s Sistaglam collection.
However, Carol did seem pretty psyched about the show, so perhaps they managed to nip back just in time.
She’d earlier Tweeted: ‘So excited for tonight @michkeegan Been looking forward to this for months. OUR GIRL BBC 9pm.’
Meanwhile, Jess had written: ‘Sooooo excited to finally watch #OurGirl tonight @michkeegan is going to be amazing in it I’m sure! ???✨.’
Aw. Even if they were out, there’s always catch-up, right?
