The 29-year-old actress hits back after being accused of undergoing the cosmetic procedure before filming BBC1 drama Our Girl...
Ooh. We’re already excited for this week’s installment of Michelle Keegan‘s Our Girl.
The second series of the BBC1 Army drama started last week. And we’ve gotta say, we already feel pretty hooked.
Mich, 29, has taken over the lead role from EastEnders‘ Lacey Turner, playing medic Corporal Georgie Lane.
As you’ll know if you tuned in last Wednesday, Georgie embarks on a humanitarian mission to Kenya after being left at the altar by fiancé Elvis Harte (Luke Pasqualino).
It was a dramatic opener – and ended on a huge cliffhanger. But in case you haven’t caught up yet, we won’t give anything away.
Viewers were quick to praise the ex-Coronation Street star for her performance.
Tweets included: ‘Never usually watch anything like #OurGirl but so glad I did. @michkeegan is amazing! ❤️,’ and: ‘@michkeegan #OurGirl was fantastic tonight! I really enjoyed it and wasn’t expecting what happened! [sic].’
However, some ended up questioning Michelle’s stunning looks, suggesting that she may have had work done before filming began. Hmm.
Now Mich has hit back at the rumours, telling the Daily Mirror: ‘Everyone says that I’ve changed my face and I’ve had Botox, but you have to be able to move your face when you’re an actress – which I can do.
‘So you can see I haven’t had it. I don’t worry about people say though, what’s the big deal about Botox? I know loads of people who’ve had it, it’s not a big deal.’
Mich clearly isn’t afraid to show her natural beauty. In fact, she totally embraced it while shooting in South Africa earlier this year.
She continues: ‘I loved that fact that I was stripped back for this role – no make up, my hair was up, it was liberating.
‘People always see me in nice dresses, looking done. I thought it was a really nice opportunity to show them my acting.’
And fantastic acting it was, lady.
