Michelle Keegan is on a total roll when it comes to her TV career right now. And soon, you won’t even recognise her.
The 29-year-old has just finished filming Our Girl, but she’s not hanging about when it comes to her next role. Because one of her future co-stars just let slip about her new part on Twitter… Eep!
Michelle will be playing Essex WAG Tina in a new three-part Drama called Tina And Bobby. Except, she’ll have to undergo a MAJOR transformation.
Because, you see, the TV show will be based on the real lives of legendary England player Bobby Moore and his wife, Tina Dean. And Tina is one very blonde Essex lady.
Will Mich be wearing a wig? Or will she actually hit the bottle? It’s a surprise, particularly because the former Corrie star previously told us she’d NEVER go blonde.
‘I’d never go blonde, I went slightly lighter last summer but I’m a brunette at heart’, she said when we asked what hair colours she might like to try.
Actress Patsy Kensit broke the news on Twitter by revealing she will be playing Tina’s mum, Better, in the drama based on Tina’s memoir, Bobby Moore: By The Person Who Knew Him Best.
‘So thrilled to be playing Tina Moore’s mother Betty in @ITV ’s new drama “Tina & Bobby”,’ Patsy posted on Twitter this morning. ‘@michkeegan I can’t wait to be your on screen Mum!x’
Actor Lorne MacFadyen will be playing Mich’s on-screen hubby, with the drama promising to tell ‘an epic love story about an ordinary girl from Essex who fell head over heels in love with an ordinary boy, who just happened to be an extraordinarily talented footballer.’
We cannot wait to see Michelle as a blonde bombshell – but we’ll have to, as it’s not airing until 2017. Doh.
