Michelle Dockery has done the one thing many women hope will never happen to them: be photographed without any make-up. And she did it willingly.
It’s all for a good cause, of course. The Downton Abbey star agreed to sacrifice her mascara and lippy, and be photographed by Rankin, in order to raise money and awareness for the annual BearFaced Day as part of Children In Need.
And it’s not just Michelle that has left her make-up kit at home: Rachel Stevens, Fiona Bruce and Jodie Whittaker are three other famous faces that have gone barefaced for the charity, with Rankin on hand to capture their natural beauty.
And, of course, they all look fabulous.
Speaking about getting involved in BearFaced Day, Downton’s Lady Mary said: ‘Ladies discard your mascara and join me and all our women in going BearFaced for the day – it’s such a simple way to get involved with raising money for Children in Need.’
If you’re anxious about leaving the foundation behind, worry not: Boots are on hand to help you prepare, as well as raise money, for the Big Day – Friday November 8 – by donating 5p out of every £1 spent on No7 skincare products to Children In Need.
Kimberley Walsh, Suki Waterhouse and Laura Whitemore are three other ladies that have already pledged their support to the charity, and have also been photographed make-up free for the world to see.
There couldn’t really be an easier way to raise money for charity. In fact, it’ll save you time in the morning. Extra time in bed AND supporting a good cause? Sign us up!
