We’re sending huge congratulations to Mark Wright right now.
Why’s that? Because the 29-year-old has just announced that his BBC children’s show The Dengineers has been sold to the USA. Ooh.
It’s set to air on the Discovery Family Channel across America, which was formerly known as Discovery Kids.
The channel is available to view in approximately 70,000,000 American households, which amounts to around (a pretty whopping) 59.7%.
So basically, he’s hit the big time. Impressive, eh?!
A source says: ‘It’s actually a really big deal for him, and his US agent thinks it could open the door to more presenting work in the USA, especially as Discovery is a such a big channel.
‘Mark has the same agent as Ryan Seacrest and Piers Morgan in the USA.’
The ex-TOWIE hunk also shared the news on his Instagram page, captioning a shot of a newspaper clipping earlier today: ‘The cat is finally out the bag and I’m over the moon….’
Fans were quick to send their best wishes, with messages including: ‘That’s awesome!!!! (said with extra American twang),’ and: ‘Couldn’t happen to a nice guy, congratulations xx [sic].’
Mark presents The Degineers alongside co-host Lauren Layfield. If you’re not sure what it’s all about, it basically sees a team of expert designers build dream dens for children around the country.
As of yet, Mark’s wife Michelle Keegan is yet to comment on his amazing news. But we’re sure she must be feeling all kinds of proud.
Our only question is… will they soon be abandoning Blighty for the States?! Let’s hope not.
