Made In Chelsea‘s Fran Newman-Young wasn’t wrong when she told us that the girls are getting a lot more feisty in this series of the E4 show.
‘The girls have become much stronger,’ the 25-year old said. ‘There’s less tears and more feist.’
You only need to have caught a glimpse of the latest tense episode to see Fran wasn’t lying. As the fued between Lucy and Phoebe over who should get Jamie heated up, it became clear neither lady is going to back down easily. And Fran threw her own little gossip-grenade into the mix, when she let slip to Lucy that Phoebe was actually on holiday with her boyfriend behind Jamie’s back. Got all that? Come on, keep up.
And it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be happy families any time soon, either: ‘There’s quite a few fights between girls to come, so yeah there’s definitely relationships that have formed and some that have totally shattered.’
When asked if she regrets anything she’s done on the show, Fran confessed: ‘There are things for me, on a personal level. You realise after that you don’t want millions of people seeing it at the same time. It’s just wearing your heart on your sleeve and thinking things will work out when they don’t. It’s very weird having your private life aired to so many people then having people opinions aired. You say things you regret then it’s there forever.’
It might be worth some of the Made In Chelsea gang taking heed of Fran’s wise words and keeping schtum every now and then. But then, where would the fun in that be?
