The pregnant reality star has quit the E4 show, but she insists that she's '#proudtobeanoriginal'...
It was an emotional night for Made In Chelsea viewers.
Binky Felstead, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Josh ‘JP’ Patterson, has announced that she’s leaving the reality TV show after six years.
Taking to Instagram ahead of the season finale on Monday night, the 26-year-old decided to tell her fans of her decision.
Posting a montage of photographs, which included a number of her co-stars, Binky began: ‘Was quite an emotional episode for me as this is my last full series filming after a magical 6 years.
‘Looking back to the shows very first episode & my very first scene I filmed with Ollie & Cheska it’s amazing & seems fitting I could end my time on the show with them as you will see tonight.
‘Thank you for the amazing amount of support and love – what an incredible experience, couldn’t be prouder of this show & how far it’s come! It’s been my second family and I will deffo be back to do the odd bits and bobs on it I’m sure in the future, but now I feel my time has come to a natural end seeing as the next big (grown up) chapter of my life is about to begin!’
She is, of course, referring to the little family that she’s soon to be starting.
And, don’t worry, we’ll still be able to keep up with everything as E4 has commissioned a spin-off show. Yup. The channel has announced two one-hour episodes, with a confirmed title and start date to come soon.
This means we’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at MIC‘s very first family, with the programme covering Binky’s last few weeks of pregnancy, the birth and her and JP’s first taste of parenthood.
JP has also shared his thoughts on Instagram, hinting that he might be walking away from the show too.
He said: ‘Over 2 years ago I joined MIC, it’s honestly been the most insane journey…
‘I came onto the show having never had a girlfriend and now i’m with someone I love and with a baby girl on the way. I’m so humbled by all your love and support. I’ve shared so many highs and lows with you guys and can’t put into words how it means to me. I wasn’t the best cast member but I hope i was a good one.’
We’re wishing them both all of the luck and love in the world. And we can’t wait to meet their little one.
