We have some very happy news for Coronation Street fans… Alan Halsall and Lucy-Jo Hudson appear to be back together!
Yep. Two months after the couple announced that they were separating, it looks as though they’ve managed to patch things up.
Rumours first emerged that their marriage may not quite be over when they were snapped together at the All Stars charity football match on Monday.
They looked very cosy as they watched the celebrity team – made up of Corrie, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks stars – at Altrincham Football Ground in Greater Manchester.
They’d been joined by their two-year-old daughter Sienna-Rae, who sat on her mum’s lap as the pair cuddled and kissed. Aw.
Appearing to confirm that he and Lucy-Jo had reunited today, Alan marked his wife’s 33rd birthday with a very romantic Tweet.
He said: ‘Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife @LucyJo_Hudson who is 33 today. Love you so much darling, and cannot wait for Paris.’
Could that mean he’s whisking her away for a romantic trip abroad?! Ooh.
Lucy-Jo replied with a kiss emoji. All seems a little too lovey-dovey for a divorcing couple, eh?!
Fans were heartbroken when they first heard that the pair were breaking up back in March.
In a statement, they confirmed: ‘Lucy-Jo Hudson and Alan Halsall are sad to announce that they have separated. They’ve shared many wonderful years together and will remain close friends.
‘They ask for privacy at this emotional time, to allow them both to focus on their beautiful daughter Sienna-Rae, to ensure her continued happiness.’
Alan, 33 – who plays Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap – met Lucy in 2002, when she joined as Katy Harris.
They began dating in 2005 and quickly became one of the cobbles’ favourite couples, getting married in a romantic Cheshire ceremony four years later.
With all that history between them, we’re delighted that they seem to have worked things out.
