The 20-year-old has spoken out about *that* Love Island tantrum, and the criticism she's been getting online since the show...
Kady McDermott was one of the biggest characters on this year’s Love Island.
Whilst she appears to have been showered by support since leaving the villa in third place – and we’re huge fans of her sassy attitude – apparently, she’s been getting some criticism online.
Just yesterday, the 20-year-old tweeted: ‘Imagine trolling people behind a screen through…’
She continued, ‘What an unhappy life you must have #PositiveVibesOnly’.
But, the ITV2 star has revealed that the negativity doesn’t phase her.
Speaking to Reveal, she explained, ‘It doesn’t bother me. I’m really thick-skinned when it comes to stuff like that – everyone is going to have an opinion, hence why every reality star not everyone loves or hates. We live it, you only see what they want you to see.’
You go, girl.
She continued, ‘No one understands apart from us islanders how intense it is, I could tell you, but you wouldn’t understand. A day is a week.
‘You feel every emotion in there, one minute you’re sad then you can be happy to angry within five minutes.’
Kady sparked quite a backlash for that tantrum following Scott and Tina’s date.
Speaking about the moment specifically, she admitted, ‘People say do you regret it? I say no. That is what I’m like, I am a drama queen. I am a bit mental, but it comes from a good place. I show my emotions and I don’t bottle it in.’
Scott’s ‘pocket rocket’ shared a heartfelt message with her Instagram followers this week, thanking them for the support the couple have received since the show ended.
She wrote, ‘Wow 700k followers and verified! Feeling so grateful and blessed right now! Thank you to everyone for supporting me whilst I was in the villa and since coming out, I notice every single nice comment wrote to me on social networking sites and it honestly means so much to me.
‘Truly honoured for the opportunities I’ve been given and will always stay humble.’
Aw, we love you guys.
