Eep. It doesn’t sound as though things are brilliant between Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth right now.
As we all know, the pair welcomed their son Freddie back in January. While they’d split before the birth, they’d appeared to stay on good terms for the sake of their baby.
But now Louis, 24, has reportedly filed for joint custody, with the Daily Star claiming that things have ‘hit rock bottom’ in his and Briana relationship and that he’s ‘desperate’ to see more of his little boy.
It was earlier this week that the One Direction singer filed court papers for formalised joint custody, requesting equal access.
He’d previously reached a temporary custody agreement with Briana, which allowed him to see Freddie for several hours at a time with no overnight visits.
This new filing comes after he was recently seen picking Freddie up during a rather awkward-looking handover in a car park.
It was first revealed that Louis – who’s now dating actress Danielle Campbell – was becoming a father in July, with a mutual friend of his and Briana’s saying he’d be a ‘hands-on dad’.
He announced his son’s birth with a Tweet, writing: ‘I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday 🙂 He is healthy and pretty amazing 🙂 I’m very happy!!’
Then at the BRIT Awards in February, the Doncaster-born star spoke about becoming a father for the first time.
He told ITV2’s Laura Whitmore: ‘[Fatherhood] is good. It’s intense. It’s really exciting. This is my first time away from Freddie so it’s tough.’ Aw.
It sounds like Louis is a really doting dad, and it’s clear that Briana is just as devoted to her little boy.
We’re sure they both just want the best for Freddie, so let’s hope they can work things out quickly.
