Lorraine Kelly is a lady who likes to tell it like it is. Which is why she had the best response to a fan who questioned whether she had Photoshopped her bikini picture.
The British TV host shared a photo of herself looking incredible in a hot pink bikini which she teamed with a loose fit blue shirt and metallic gold wedges.
But the 56-year-old soon came under fire for potentially altering the image, after a fan noticed something unusual about Lorraine’s leg.
‘Anyone else notice the disfigurement to Lorraine’s right leg (inner thigh) due to airbrushing’, read the comment, which has since been deleted.
However, Kelly was quick to shut the speculation down, and replied by explaining that the user was simply mistaken.
‘Cheryl – this is a scar on my leg from a serious accident when I was trampled by a horse. Pics are untouched,’ she wrote.
‘I’m not as self conscious about it now – but remarks like that do sting a bit!’ Lorraine added.
The TV star then went on to explain how she actually felt lucky to have the scar, as things could have turned out much worse.
‘I was very lucky and so fortunate we have an amazing NHS. All at St Georges Hospital were simply incredible’, she continued.
Thanks to Lorraine’s calm and classy reply, the original commenter soon apologised. ‘Sincerest apologies re earlier tweet, oblivious to your accident & scar I myself have a massive scar from ankle to calf’, they wrote.
And Kelly, lovely as always, replied in kind by writing: ‘Oh sweetheart please please don’t worry! Thank you so much for this lovely tweet.’
Now that’s what we call a ladylike Twitter exhange.
