Disneyland fans have always had one pretty big gripe. WHY is there not one in the UK?
Sure, it’s a great excuse to hop across the pond and hit Paris. But if we had one in our own backyard, we’d be able to experience it SO MANY MORE TIMES.
Well, it looks like our fairytale wishes might have just (partly) come true. Because a Disneyland-style resort is about to hit the UK.
Word on the web is that this new theme park is set to rival Disneyland Paris.
London Paramount Entertainment Resort is set to be built on the Swanscombe Peninsula in Kent, and will include a massive indoor water park (YAAAS), rides, cinemas, theatres, live music venues and hotels.
According to the Daily Mail, the theme park is expected to feature attractions that are themed around BBC Worldwide shows, Aardman Animations (the studio behind Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run and Shaun The Sheep) and Hollywood studio’s Paramount Pictures.
Yup, scenes from some of our favourite movies could be inspiring the rides at this new resort.
According to the Evening Standard, it is due to open in 2021. So we’ve got five years to wait.
But believe us when we say, we’ll be the first ones in the queue come open day.
