There’s no denying that Little Mix wowed at the Royal Variety Performance.
The show was filmed back in November but was screened on ITV1 last night. And as expected, praise for the girls soon rolled in on Twitter.
LM sang their hit single Love Me Like You in front of a huge audience at the Royal Albert Hall, which included Prince Harry.
One viewer complimented: ‘Blown away by your royal variety performance. Pretty sure i heard my Mum go “yasssss my gurls.”‘
Another wrote: ‘little mix did absolutely WONDERFUL! best royal variety performance in my opinion! #RoyalVariety,’ and one particularly loyal Mixer simply said: ‘Queeeeennsss.’
Not only did Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall sound great, they also looked amaze too.
Perrie, 22, stunned in a sequinned gold gown, while 22-year-old Jade’s similarly embellished design featured a dramatic feathered train.
Sticking to her signature gothic style, 24-year-old Jesy was in a saucy thigh-slit maxi. Leigh-Anne Pinnock matched her bandmate in a plunging floor-sweeper.
They were all sporting shades of crimson lipstick and glamorous old Hollywood-inspired hairdos. We bet Prince Harry was impressed when he said his hellos…
Unfortunately for LM, not everything about last night’s programme went 100% smoothly.
Their vocals were so on point, they ended up being accused of miming. Uh-oh.
Tweets included: ‘#RoyalVariety looks like little mix are miming!? Who agrees?’ and: ‘Why are Little Mix miming?! It’s so obvious.’
However, fans were quick to hit back. One insisted: ‘You know Little Mix are talented when their stunning live vocals are mistaken for miming.’
Another offered the explanation: ‘Little mix weren’t miming it was the vocals on the backing track they were singing along to was too loud on the chorus.’
We’ve gotta say, we’re inclined to agree with the Mixers here.
