Lily-Rose Depp’s New Movie ‘Yoga Hosers’ Is Basically ‘Clueless’

Take a moment right now and close your eyes. Just for a minute. And cast back to your 16-year old self. Oh the fashion mistakes (butterfly clips and hoop earrings seemed such a good idea at the time), the countless hours spent on MSN messenger and no doubt some teen tantrums thrown in there with the parents.

It’s safe to say Lily-Rose Depp is quite the dichotomy then. Still only SIXTEEN and she’s already secured a coveted campaign with Chanel, amassed 1.3million followers on Instagram (her only form of social media) oh, and her parents are Johnny Depp and Parisian model and actress, Vanessa Paradis. No biggie.

And now, to cement her cool-girl status even further – the first clip of her role in new movie, Yoga Hosers, has just been released. And it’s *everything*. Kevin Smith (known for cult-90s hits like Chasing Amy) is directing the movie about two teenagers who have an afterschool job in a corner shop. So far, so normal. That’s until evil monsters threaten to ruin their chances of attending a boy’s senior party (played by Vanessa Hudgens’ BF, Austin Butler).

Oh and the best part? It’s a family affair. Johnny Depp plays a hunter in the movie, Guy Lapointe, who has come to save them. It’s already been described as ‘Clueless meets Gremlins,’ – with classic lines like, ‘can you stop being so basic?!’ in there for good measure. Okay, so amazing then.

The bad news? Yoga Hosers has yet to have a release date, but is having its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this week – so most likely it will hit screens at the end of the year.

2016 is set to be a massive year for Lily-Rose Depp. While no doubt she’ll be the Princess of Paris Fashion Week this season, she’s also got two more films lined up this year – from a major dance biopic with French singer Soko and 1930s fantasy drama, Planetarium, playing Natalie Portman’s sister.
