Yesterday we reported that Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband had been rushed to hospital after a collapse, and was in a ‘critical’ condition.
Khloe, along with her mother Kris, quickly flew out to Lamar’s bedside, and since then it has been reported that they have been joined by members of the basketball player’s family as well as extended members of the Kardashian/Jenner clan.
Friends of the former sports star have also been rallying around him to show their support.
News has since broken that Lamar Odom’s marriage to Khloe Kardashian is actually still valid, despite the fact that the pair both filed for divorce.
This shock revelation could actually mean that Khloe may be the one responsible for any medical decisions. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was reportedly ‘inconsolable’ at the news of his collapse, and our hearts go out to her.
The celebrity couple married back in 2009, and Khloe filed for divorce in 2013 citing ‘irreconcilable differences’, although she has remained adamant that she would always hold feelings for him.
The pair only finalised their divorce this year, with both parties signing the relevant paperwork. All that was left to complete it was a judge’s signature, which reports now say was delayed.
According to People, a source close to the family said that Lamar has no living will, which would have designated somebody to take responsibility for laying out how his care should be handled, in the event that he couldn’t answer for himself.
People have also reported that ‘they’re pretty sure this is goodbye, but they’re praying for a miracle,’ according to a source close to the family.
Kris Jenner has taken to Instagram to encourage further support for Lamar, captioning a snap of him: ‘Please pray for Lamar #ourfighter’.
Celebrities, friends and fans alike have also been sharing heartfelt messages and well-wishes. Gigi Hadid tweeted: ‘Praying for Lamar. Important to so many that are important to me.’
Rob Kardashian had a rare Instagram moment, saying: ‘Praying nonstop for my Brother !!’
Kendall Jenner tweeted simply ‘please don’t go.’
Our thoughts go out to him and his family.
