In case you missed it, Kylie Jenner is a pop star now.
The 18-year-old lended her vocals to a friend’s rap track, so along with her lip kits, fashion lines and magazine covers, she can now add another accomplishment to her stylish belt.
On Wednesday, producer Burberry Perry uploaded the track to his SoundCloud.
Going by the name Beautiful Day, it’s a NSFW version of the theme song for Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, and it features the youngest Keeping Up With The Kardashians star along with a few of her friends.
It seems like it didn’t go down too well on social media, with the man behind it taking to Twitter to hit back, ‘This song is a couple friends in the studio having fun and living life geez’.
Kylie’s close pal Jordyn Woods, who also featured on the record, tweeted to her 140,000 followers, ‘Why do some of y’all take life so seriously. Stop being mad at the world and take a joke.’
She followed up, ‘You hear us laughing in the song.. Clearly it was all of us together having fun’.
And Kylie Jenner herself seems to have been receiving quite a bit of stick for her involvement, after fans believed they’d heard her use the ‘N’ word.
Tweets included: ‘Hi @KylieJenner, let’s talk about your use of the n-word in this song. It is completely unacceptable’ and ‘@KylieJenner Idc how famous you are, you ain’t black & saying the n-word isn’t funny or cool & that’s not what u shld use ur celebrity for’ [sic].
Jordyn defended her reality star friend, hitting back at the claims by tweeting, ‘Girl that’s me and Justine.
‘Kylie added one ad-lib. Lol’.
