The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star did something pretty unexpected on the Met Gala red carpet...
Kim Kardashian West always pulls it out of the bag for the red carpet.
We weren’t sure we’d be seeing the 36-year-old at this year’s Met Gala, but, sure enough, she strutted her stuff in a floor-sweeping white dress. And, naturally, she looked beaut.
Putting that non-airbrushed bikini controversy behind her, Kim opted for a slinky Vivienne Westwood gown, complete with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a fancy drawstring that emphasised her hourglass, cinching her in.

It wasn’t quite the OTT look we’ve come to expect from the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star – remember the metallic Balmain dress and bleached ‘brows from last year? – but she stood out all the same.
In keeping with her choice of dress, Kim kept her glam surprisingly simple as well. The reality star wore her hair sleek and straight, with her signature centre parting, whilst opting for a nude lip and strappy sandals.
The mum-of-two – who got candid about her family life on the Ellen Show this week – arrived to the star-studded fash’ bash without her rapper husband.
According to E! News, Kanye West decided to skip the event in favour of looking after their two children, North and Saint West.
A source told the US publication: ‘Kanye will not be attending the Met Gala and will be staying in L.A. with their kids.’
But Kim wasn’t exactly alone, as she had little sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner to keep her company.
After all, what would a red carpet be without at least one Kardashian/Jenner?
