The mum-of-two is reportedly suing an American website which has claimed that Kim faked her horrific Paris robbery, calling the claims 'blatant defamatory lies'
Kim Kardashian West is facing claims that she may have ‘staged’ her robbery. And she’s hit back in a furious way.
It’s been ten days since the mum-of-two found herself bound and gagged in her Parisian apartment in what must have been one seriously terrifying ordeal.
But a US website has started accusing the star of ‘faking’ the whole thing, and posted numerous articles stating the robbery could have been ‘staged’, and adding that the French police suspected that Kim had ‘let the robbers in’ to her apartment.
The site in question is MediaTakeOut.com, and reports are claiming that Kim is now suing the gossip site – and its founder, Fred Mwangaguhunga, for defamation.
In a complaint seen by Mail Online, Kim’s team accuses the site of ‘blatant defamatory lies’ and slams the site for branding her a ‘liar and a thief’ without ‘any factual support’.
‘[The articles] claimed, without any factual support whatsoever, that Kardashian faked the robbery, lied about the violent assault, and then filed a fraudulent claim with her insurance company to bilk her carrier out of millions of dollars’, reads the lawsuit filed by team Kim.
It also insists that the only people who know what actually happened that night are Kim, the concierge ‘who was also assaulted’ and the ‘assailants themselves’.
The 35-year-old’s team asked for the ‘false and outrageous’ claims to be taken down from the website, as well as for an apology, but reportedly got no response.
MediaTakeOut.com has so far yet to comment on the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian gave the family’s first public interview about how Kim’s been coping since the attack, telling The Ellen Show:
‘I mean, she’s not doing that well. I mean, it’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her.’
‘Our family is super close and great and we’ll get through it together, and we do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support and it will take time’.
