The star dealt with the aftermath on camera
When Kim Kardashian was bound, gagged and robbed in an apartment in Paris last year, the world was shocked. The star had been in town for Paris Fashion Week before being targeted by a gang who stole approximately $10 million of jewels including the reality star’s 20-carat diamond engagement ring.
When news broke of the ordeal, Kim’s family immediately flocked to her side, helping to transport her back to NYC where she was reunited with her kids and Kanye.
After the horrific even Kim placed herself in social media exile, refraining from posting tweets or Instagram pictures. She hid herself away from the world in order to rest and recover.
During this time the Keeping Up With The Kardashians cameras captured everything. On last night’s emotional episode, aired in the US, Kim told her sisters that she believed the gunmen were going to kill her…
“He grabs my legs, and I wasn’t, you know, I had no clothes on under. He pulled me toward him at the front of the bed and I thought, “Okay, this is the moment they’re going to rape me. I fully mentally prepped myself – and then he didn’t. He duct aped my legs together and had the gun up to me. I knew that was the moment they’re just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed that Kourtney’s going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed…like, I’m not going to make it out of here. I know how these things go.”
Kim Kardashian thought she was going to be ‘raped’
Kim pleaded with the robbers, telling them she had a family, begging them to let her live. She also considered making a run for it before deciding it was too risky.
“They dragged me out to the hallway on top of the stairs. That’s when I saw the gun. I was looking at the gun, looking at the stairs. Either they’re going to shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator doesn’t make it in time or the stairs are locked then I’m like f***ed. There’s no way out.”
The gunmen put Kim in the bathroom, tied and gagged, before making their getaway.
Kim took to Instagram and Twitter to share her reasons behind talking about the experience so publicly and taking the opportunity to thank the French police for all of their hard work.
