The 20-year-old's had her Instagram hacked - but she's keeping a positive attitude...
We’re feeling pretty sorry for Love Island‘s Katie Salmon right now.
The 20-year-old revealed this morning that her Instagram account has been hacked, meaning she’s had to make a new one – and lose all of her followers in the process. Eep.
She told fans on Twitter: ‘IMPORTANT MESSAGE!!!❣️❣️❣️❣️ My old Instagram has been hacked. I am not going to let the haters get me down.
‘There’s more to life than social media and followers however it is part of my work so I would appreciate if you could all pass on my new Instagram.
‘I am happy to be back even starting from scratch. So many exciting projects coming that I can’t wait to share with you so follow me @imkatiesalmon to have your unput.. Fashion just got fierce!!
‘Positive vibes only on this account ?? love you all share the happy vibes ?? [sic].’
She’s received plenty of support from her fellow Islanders, with Scott Thomas, Cara de la Hoyde, Tom Powell, Troy Frith, Rachel Fenton, Kady McDermott and Malin Andersson among those urging people to follow her new profile.
Cara, 26, wrote: ‘Guys my girls been hacked so please follow her new Instagram and show her some ❤️❤️❤️❤️ @katiesalmon24 ?,’ while 23-year-old Malin said: ‘Please follow @iamkatiesalmon on Instagram as her insta has been hacked! @katiesalmon24 ?❤️.’
This afternoon, Katie shared her first photo on her new Instagram page, which showed her posing in a swimsuit and visor combo. And we’ve gotta say, she looked seriously smokin’.
She’d captioned the image: ‘Instagram am back!! Old account got hacked by jealous haters but who cares ? They never win… [sic].’
Great mentality, lady. Welcome back!
