Kate Middleton’s Singapore Diary – Day One

Kate Middleton has arrived in Singapore to an incredible welcome from the locals. Her first trip as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Tour was to the Singapore Botanical Gardens where she and Prince William had their very own orchid named after them. The couple will be touring South East Asia for a total of nine days… which means an awful lot of outfit changes.

Come and take a look at how her diary’s looking for today… it’s going to be one hectic week!

11th September 2012:

Arrive in Singapore after 14-hour flight.

Pop on cream kimono-style Jenny Packham dress with pink orchids – pretty appropriate for what’s ahead… add cream silk court shoes, pearl drop earrings and tie hair back.

Smile for photographers and locals, accept flowers and head straight to Singapore Botanical Gardens. Meet National Parks Board CEO Poon Hong Yuen, who unveils the Vanda William Catherine at a special orchid naming ceremony. See more orchids, named after the Queen and Princess Diana.

Travel to the Raffles Hotel, where more than 100 people wait on the red carpet.

Attend state dinner (wardrobe change, obvs).

Tomorrow, Kate and Wills will meet more members of the public. They’ll stay in Singapore until Thursday, before heading to Malaysia, where they’ll visit Kuala Lumpur and Borneo’s Sabah state. Come back tomorrow to read what day two holds in store for Kate. RM
