Kate Middleton stepped out for her and Prince William’s first public appearance in New Zealand yesterday after touching down in the state for their grand royal tour.
So far, the 32-year-old Duchess of Cambridge’s tour wardrobe has been nothing short of sensational. The mum-of-one pulled a total Jackie O in her vibrant red Catherine Walker coat and matching hat to touch down, while later working the monochrome trend in a black and-white MaxMara dress and Manolo Blahnik heels.
And now, Kate has turned to her go-to designer once again to pull this gorgeous cornflower blue Alexander McQueen coat dress out the bag for her and Will’s visit to the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre.
With its peplum and pleat detailing, Ms Middleton’s couture coat is the ultimate figure-flatterer and bang on-trend with its dusky blue hue that we’ve been seeing everywhere this SS14.
The McQueen lovely is currently available to buy online – priced at £2,345 – albeit in a slightly longer length and without the utility pockets seen on Kate’s version. Has the royal mum been up to some crafty customising?
Kate paired her chic outerwear with navy blue heels and accessorised with a soft suede clutch, sapphire drop earrings and a small red poppy brooch.
Swapping her signature cascading curls look for an elegant ponytail, Prince George’s mum even tied in her make-up with the blue hue via a sweep of navy eyeshadow topped off with a nude lip.
