“It isn’t royal tradition, but Kate isn’t a traditional royal. She is modern and wants a normal life”, a source told The Sun. “It will be a great day for everyone and Kate is doing this with the blessing of the Queen.”
Having helped her sister organise her royal wedding reception and penned a book on party planning, Pippa’s more than qualified for the job. Said to be ordering in a whole host of Jo Malone and White Company treats for the baby shower goody bags, she’s even roped in brother James – who owns a baking a company – to bake a dummy-shaped cake for the occasion. Sweet!
The bash is set to be held in the Middleton family home in Berkshire, where Kate will be staying in the weeks after her baby is born.
“Prince Harry, Kate and William are the Royal Family’s link to the younger generation”, adds the source. “A baby shower wouldn’t normally happen if you’re in the Royal Family, but there is now a modern way of thinking.”
We’ll expect our invite in the post, Pip.
