Kate Middleton Wows In Bright Dress In The Solomon Islands

Kate Middleton wowed in a batik design orange and pink dress from her hosts as she attended a banquet on the Solomon Islands, ditching her originally planned gown she brought from England.

The dress was in the room at the hotel the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are staying at, and Kate is said to have “loved” the strapless dress from Island Print.

A royal aide said, “She tried it on, she loved it and she is wearing it.”

Prince William also wore a shirt from the island, though he was always planning on wearing it. The couple were struck by the warm welcome they received when arriving in Honiara, and William said that their visit is “a great thrill”:

“This land is the most beautiful place imaginable, and the people of the Solomon islands are amongst the most gracious and friendly we have ever met. The Queen told us this would be so, and as with so much else in her long reign, Her Majesty was absolutely right. Catherine and I were overwhelmed with the warmth of the reception we received this afternoon.  Our expectations were pretty high after what the Queen had told us, but nothing had prepared us for the welcome we received.”

Yesterday they visited the Borneo Rainforest, and the couple seem in high spirits despite the legal issues they’re facing in Europe. We love seeing them so happy! BS
